Who can use Yarcoo
You must be at least 18 years old. You must not have been convicted of a felony or sex offence, and you must not be listed on any sex offender registry. One account per person, and the profile must be you.
Your account
You sign in with your phone number. Keep access to that number secure — anyone who can receive your codes can reach your account.
How the app works
Yarcoo shows you a limited batch of profiles each day and gives you a limited number of likes each day. These limits are part of the product and may change as we learn what works. We don't guarantee matches, messages, or outcomes.
Content you post
You keep ownership of your photos and what you write. You give us permission to host and display them inside the app so the service can work. You're responsible for having the right to post what you post.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour
Do not post or send:
- Nudity, sexually explicit material, or anyone under 18 in any context
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or abuse directed at anyone
- Photos that aren't you, or a profile pretending to be someone else
- Spam, solicitation, commercial promotion, or requests for money
- Anything illegal under Canadian law
You can report or block any member from their profile inside the app. We review reports within 48 hours and remove content and accounts that break these rules, without warning and without refund where payment applies.
Safety
We don't background-check members. Meeting someone from the internet carries risk — meet in public, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts. Use the block and report tools in the app if something feels wrong.
Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time, from Settings → Delete Account. This is permanent and immediate — it can't be undone. We can also suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.
The boring but necessary parts
Yarcoo is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee uptime, that you'll get matches, or any outcome from using the app. To the fullest extent the law allows, Yarcoo and its operator aren't liable for damages arising from your use of the app or your interactions with other members — online or in person. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Ontario.
Changes
If we change these terms we'll update the date above and tell you in the app when it matters.
